And one day the desperation is so huge, that you need a thick wet-suit! 🙂

We tried it one more time. After watching the little waves at the Rhine river, we truly needed some bigger ones. And than there was a swell approaching the Northsea shore – hey, ho, let’s go!

After knowing how to do it right, we made an other spontaneous trip to Scheveningen. We knew the border (corona) requirements, we had our lunch prepared and my surfing husband had even a new-used board for that special adventure.

Scheveningen was super windy, but waves were unmistakable there – and so my Surfer came, saw and conquered the beach with his enthusiasm. I was freezing. Alone the imagination of the cold water caused my heart stop beating. I felt like Rose, floating on the door in Titanic and seeing my beloved Jack disappearing in the sea…

But he was brave, he catched a few waves and came back without any frozen bodyparts. What a professional, hehe! We went back to the underground car park and he switched skillfully to street clothes again – but I can tell, it is sooo much more easier, when he does it on Kaua’i…
