Nats/ March 29, 2023/ kaua'i bulletin - english blog, on the other side (mainly USA)

The Kaua’ian Hindu Monastery had left an lasting impression on my first visit in 2015. In retrospect I can say: It was supposedly one of the most moving moments in my life – but I had absolutely no idea that that actually was the case! 🙂 This small religious complex is not far from the awesome rainbow eucalyptus park and made my excursion on that 27th of June (LA ISLA BONITA – little wanderer) even more special.

After having hugged one of those beautiful and colorful trees that day I already felt somewhat happier and more energized. And as I came to the temple I found a granite caulderon in which you could burn you problems. That made me curious. And hopeful? Spirituallity is something you must feel and commit to. Should I try? The Hindu Priests suggest to write down any burdens, problems, internal challenges or confessions on a little piece of paper – and than burn it in the caulderon! And so I did! Let. It. Go.

Not on the same day, but already the day after I felt, that something had changed. On that exciting world-journey to myself I obviously made suddely one last and big step out of my emotional bonds. I felt free like never before – and the rest is history…

But back to the future! Here we are again in 2023! This time I did not burn any burdens, but our guest did! I watched him, hoping silently for him to be as surprised and succesful as I was! The whole religious complex got a bit refurbished and was all cute decorated. I liked being there again a lot and it was nice to stroll through the little garden, the statues were prettier as I remember and quiet interesting. The ambiance after the sun already had set was special, it created an almost cozy atmposphere, like being in a protectiv spiritual space, and not out in the open. And so a special day was coming to an end, full of memories and thoughts of energetic trees and burned burdens…
