Very Merry Christmas

Make yourself a very merry Christmas … and we did! First we were hesitant to decorate and have a tree, but than the kids decided to come out west like last year on Christmas Eve – and we needed a festive and radiant ambiance! After we last year had a beautiful Charlie Brown Christmas tree we decided to repeat it!

We have two large “Hawaiian Christmas trees” in the garden and the branch of one of the conifers is perfectly growing to be cut next year looking like a “real tree”, so we want to do it, when our little one is a bit bigger. This time we just got a funny large branch and made again the best of it. It was beautiful! 🙂

We had surprisingly lot’s of gift’s! For the kids, for us, and even a package from Germany arrived on time. 🙂 Our tree corner looked beautiful and was filled with all kinds of festive pieces – presents, cards, lights and ornaments. On Christmas Eve we made a “Pan-Fondue” and the kids enjoyed the German style dinner. Everyone had his little pan to prepare his own food – the little baby on the other hand got put in a big cooking pot, haha, just kidding…that’s what grandpas do! 😉

On Christmas Day we this year did not join the Hawaiian family party up north of the island but stayed at home. We opened in the morning our presents for each other and the far traveled package from the other side of the earth – and we enjoyed a lot of German yummies since! The “Rübenkraut” for example, a thick sirupy molasses-like spread – some other “Kraut” for the “Kraut’s” 😉
