Meanwhile they fall every five minutes. 😉 Will it ever end?! Sure it will, and than probably I will be sad, but for now, I simply don’t know what to do with all those Mangos anymore! I never imagined to be blessed by such a beautiful nurishing tree, which is almost breaking down under the weight of big juicy fruits – delicious. When I went to indian restaurants I always drank a Mango-Lassi as a liquid starter, that was natural act, I simply love it. Now I drink that yellow glowing yogurt-beverage every single morning, followed by a fruit-smoothie with a few additional pieces of mangos for lunch. 😉 And as I predicted in an earlier article – I meanwhile really cooked almost everything with Mangos! I made ice and salads and soup and chutney and dressing and wraps and salsa and vegetable dishes and daiquiris and as a masterpiece even a Mango-Cider – so we could use up a lot of fruits at once. 🙂 It came out yummy bubbly with a quite good amount of alcohol!  So what’s next? Mango marmelade! And pickles! We can be happy, to have the advantage of a very traditional fruit with lots of health benefits next to our kitchen. In India Mango symbolizes life, and it is filled with fibres and minerals and vitamins and enzyms and probiotics and antioxidants, so it can supports recovery in many health issues – and on top is of so delicious taste. But the fruits are getting overripe, bursting from juice when they hit the ground. And all around the tree it just start to smell funny: The fallen Mangos begin to ferment! Now I am waiting for the first drunken chickens, they already for weeks chase Mangos in our garden – and now the hen dance can beginn!

Mango ice can make you smile. Pure life in a glas: Lassi. A salad with Mango and Asparagus and a Mango salsa topping with self made Panir cheese.

We collected Mangos, cut Mangos, froze Mangos, put frozen Mangos with fresh Mangos in a bucket, we ad water, suger and yeast, let it bubble for days and filtered it, we tried a short, unstatisfying destillation, the cat don’t want to deal with Mangos anymore, but the Mango Cider is yummy, cheers.
